🔥 CLOWNING – SUMMER SCHOOL INTENSIVE 🗓 2 WEEKS — 10 DAYS OF TRAINING 📍 Melbourne Actors Guild | 🎟 Limited to 16 Participants With Fabio Motta Join us for a transformative 2-week clowning —a joyful, embodied approach that aims to let you discover the ridiculous, courageous, playful and deeply human creature that is your clown. This training is ideal for actors, clowns, creatives and performers seeking greater presence, authenticity, and freedom on stage and screen. 🎈 WEEK 1: Clown Foundations Discover the joy of ensemble play, improvisation, text, and clown. Rooted in Philippe Gaulier’s teachings (Le Jeu), this week places the actor at the centre—inviting spontaneity, vulnerability, and deep connection with the audience to discover your clown state. 🎭WEEK 2: Chekhov & Clown Dive deeper into text and complicité with a focus on Chekhov. Through games, scenes, and advanced clown work, you’ll explore intra-cultural methods and develop a richer, freer relationship with character and performance. (Prerequisite: Week 1 or previous Pleasure to Play workshop). 🎈 WEEK 2 : Advance Clown Now that you have discovered your clown state, lets explore what your clown wants to do! In this week we embark on exploring routines and how your clown plays with others. You will lern the foundations of devising through the clown state to start generating materials. ✅ What You’ll Gain: Authentic stage presence Tools for ensemble & solo work Confidence in working in the world of Comedy Foundations in developing a clown routine A unified, embodied acting practice 🕐 Mon–Fri, 10:00–16:00 🎟 Early Bird: $1600 + GST (by Nov 3rd, 2025) 🎟 Full Price: $2000 + GST 🎟 Week 1 Only: $1000 + GST Week 1: 11th - 15th , Jan , 2027 Week 2: 18th - 22nd Jan, 2027 📩 Payment plans available Open to actors, dancers, clowns, directors, and creatives of all levels.

Cancellation Policy
REFUND POLICY: Deposit is not refundable. No refund for the full course fee less than 20 days before the course starts. The course fees are due prior to course commencement. The inability to pay fees by this time may result in your place being given to the next person on the list. No refunds or credits are available from days prior to course commencement, and after the course has commenced. If for any reason you cannot attend the entire course, there is no refund for missed hours or classes. Please organise your schedule so that you do not miss a precious moment of our courses (and let us know in advance if this is the case). We look forward to seeing you very soon!
