This workshop invites participants to bring an existing project; whether a character, a piece of text, a clown or bouffon routine, or the beginnings of a show, idea, or concept - and develop it within a collaborative, professional lab environment. The project should be something that can be performed on the first day of the residency. Purpose of the Lab The aim of this residency is to provide participants with professional theatre tools to create and develop work within their own poetic and comic world. Who Should Attend Theatre artists with experience in physical comedy, clowning, or bouffon. Participants who already have a project or material ready to develop and perform. Workshop Structure The residency unfolds through a combination of: Individual coaching with Fabio tailored to each participant’s project Autonomous rehearsal time to experiment and refine material on the days off; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Group presentations and feedback sessions to explore principles of playing, writing, and directing Group exercises addressing core principles that emerge from the work By understanding the unique nature of different comic approaches, participants will gain the skills to create, refine, and perform material with clarity, depth, and a strong connection to their own comic voice.
