Service Description

The Voice in Life: finding ease, power and freedom in your voice Through Fitzmaurice Voicework and complementary vocal practices, Julia and Fabio will guide participants through dynamic exercises designed to unlock a freer, stronger, and more expressive voice. Whether you are an actor, speaker, journalist, teacher, leader, or simply someone who wants to communicate with greater confidence, this workshop will help you release tension, enliven your presence, and strengthen your ability to be seen, heard, and felt. Leave with practical tools you can use immediately to speak with more clarity, confidence, and impact. Teachers: Julia Moody has a Graduate Diploma in Voice Studies from NIDA (Sydney), a BA from Curtin University (Perth), is a fully accredited Associate teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework (New York), and did her actor training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (UK). Julia has performed as an actor in Theatre, Film, TV, and Radio with companies across Australia. She has worked as a Voice trainer and Consultant in the professional media with SBS TV and Radio since 1994, and with ABC TV, Channel 10, Open Channel, Public Radio News, RTRFM, 5UV, and 6PR. She has run specially designed voice training sessions for professional speakers in all domains: the corporate arena, education, theatre and film; with politicians, legal professionals, medical professionals, sporting professionals, and many others. Julia has lectured in Voice at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Victorian College of the Arts School of Drama, the University of Ballarat Academy of Performing Arts, and was Head of Voice in the Acting Department of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University for 21 years. Fabio Motta is an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework and the Associate Director of Learning Programs and Creative Research. Fabio is an award winning performer and teaching artist based in Melbourne (Naarm) Australia. He has had the fortune of performing and devising shows in Australia, Europe, and the United States. In Melbourne. He is the Founder and Director of The Clowning Workshop, a school dedicated to disciplines such as clowning, commedia dell’arte, voice, mask work, acting and related disciplines. As a freelance educator, he has taught workshops at various theatre companies and institutions in Australia and around the world; VCA ( Victorian College of the Arts) , NYU Tish, 16th street acting studio, HB Studio (NY).

Cancellation Policy

REFUND POLICY: Deposit is not refundable. No refund for the full course fee less than 20 days before the course starts. The course fees are due prior to course commencement. The inability to pay fees by this time may result in your place being given to the next person on the list. No refunds or credits are available from days prior to course commencement, and after the course has commenced. If for any reason you cannot attend the entire course, there is no refund for missed hours or classes. Please organise your schedule so that you do not miss a precious moment of our courses (and let us know in advance if this is the case). We look forward to seeing you very soon!
